Melanie graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology in May of 2019 from the University of Central Florida and is graduating with a Dual Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Walden University in 2024. Melanie is a Master’s level Clinical Student Intern currently working towards certification to become a Perinatal Mental Health Professional. Melanie has experience working with individuals, teens, women, and men.
She specializes in anxiety, adjustment issues and perinatal mood and anxiety concerns.

Melanie uses various therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of clients. These include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused strategies. Melanie believes in creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. Under the guidance of supervisors, Melanie is dedicated to enhancing her skills and expertise to better serve her clients.

Melanie is a maternal mental health advocate and a member of the Central Florida Postpartum Alliance. Becoming a mother has been a transformative journey that deepened her understanding of the complexities of mental health, particularly during the perinatal period. Melanie is committed to offering compassionate care to individuals navigating the unique challenges of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experiences. Melanie also has experience working in the field of education. She worked closely with children and adolescents in a classroom setting. That experience provided her with a profound understanding of the importance of early intervention and support in promoting mental well-being among young individuals.
