About

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) | Qualified Supervisor | Comprehensively trained in medical social work, chronic illness, grief, caregiver issues, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Currently training extensively in EMDR.

Katie graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. For over 16 years she has worked with clients in the medical and mental health field throughout various settings. She has supported clients and families of all ages as they navigate medical and mental health challenges.

Katie is enthusiastic about her work and utilizes a collaborative, client-centered, holistic approach to fully understand each client’s unique needs and desires. She sees the client as the expert when it comes to their life, and Katie would be honored to walk beside them through the growth they desire. Katie believes that everyone has unique strengths that can be used to help navigate life challenges. She considers communication and perspective as key ingredients to a healthy life, and assists her clients with fostering these skills.

Going to counseling for the first time can be scary. Katie strives to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel comfortable to share their struggles and challenges. Katie is passionate about working in private practice and enjoys working with clients who want to help themselves. She sees clients with a wide range of presenting needs. Katie has a soft side for working with medical needs and elder care population clients. She's extremely passionate about all aspects of the maternal reproductive timeframe and perinatal mental health. As someone who went through infertility herself, Katie knows how isolating the journey can be and is very devoted to assisting individuals navigating all aspects of infertility. Overall, her goal is to help her clients work towards the growth, change, and transformation they are searching for.
